Streamline in my experience is unreliable. I suffered from massive downtime periods. For the 3 weeks before moving to a new host my site was down almost 15 hours. I was never given an explanation as to why this happened in fact there was no reply from their support until my site was back on line and then they just said that everything was ok.I continually had Fast CGI errors which meant that my site was unavailable and have since been told that this can be due to overstreching server resources at the expense of the customer.
When I migrated to a new host and cancelled Streamline they said I would be refunded with the outstanding amount. Exactly the opposite happened as they initially took another payment off my card after the cancellation date (they keep your card number and take payment without letting you know!!!!).
Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware - don't just take my word for the way Streamline will treat you search the reviews and try to find a good one about them.

I have hosted a few sites with Streamline over the years, and they used to be quite good. But more recently, they have been quite useless.

Support tickets are a waste of time if you can't tell them what to do step by step. And even then, they have difficulty following the instructions.

They took one of my sites down, and then put it on another server. They didn't tell me it was on another IP address, and as my domain names were not on their DNS server, the site stopped working. After I re-pointed the domains, the aliases on their server still would not work. It took 2 weeks to get them to realise they had messed up, as they insisted it was all my fault!

When you speak to them on the phone, its obvious they do not have a very strong grasp of anything internet related. Although they will tell you they will get their 'senior' technician to look at it. Which results in diddly squat.

Furthermore, they do not take any responsibility for their mistakes.

I think they must be under new management or something, and have lost all of their competent staff.

I am in the process of moving all my sites elsewhere. I would not recommend them.

I have hosted 5 sites with Streamline over the last 4 years or so.

I have never had any trouble with my site not being available, or slow loading of pages or with emails, although I only used to forward the emails. However I am a relative novice at this game and my sites are all static with no databases.

My only gripe has been that sometimes I have raised support tickets and the answers were no more helpful than their FAQ. I usually managed to work things out for myself.

They definitely seemed good value to me and with my simple requirements, suited my purpose.

I have recently taken up hosting with another company, purely because they look like they offer more support and I am hoping to use dynamic pages and databases now.

This company auto-renews your hosting and then if you don't cancel in writing within 30 days of the renewal coming up they simply shut down *all* your domains. The do nothing but respond with canned responses, citing "policy".

Server loads are typically high. My site would constantly fail to load or time out. There are much cheaper web hosts out there with good customer service. The way this company makes money is to auto-renew - for a year at a time! That is never a good sign. Avoid like the plague.

I'm going to keep this really brief. I am writing this review because I have just bought new hosting from another company, Rochen. I hated Streamline, they are better than some but not at all great. My site was offline quite a lot, very slow page loads, terrible email (many times no connection could be made to email) and overloaded database servers.

Only use this site if you are a web novice looking to set up a small non database driven static website. I would not recommend them, even their own website was poorly coded, lots off layout errors across different browsers.

As I said, a really brief review, I'm not going to justify my opinion just let it be known I would not recommend them
