Easyspace easily outdo Ryanair for hidden charges. Once they have your credit card number you may find debits that you did not authorise. When signing up for web hosting there are a number of pre-ticked boxes offering free trials of ancillary services such as "mail filter" and "Onlineshop monthly". If you do not untick these boxes, then at the end of the "trial period" (one month) they will debit your card for services you did not want and did not authorise. Of course if you read through all the small print on remote pages of conditions, then you may be wise to such trickery, but otherwise BEWARE.

RUBBISH SERVICE!!!!!!

Domain transfer to another easyspace account is a milestone and takes far to long... All I wanted to do was simply transfer the name, set up a website homepage for it, easy, I normal do things like this in a hour! It took days just to transfer a name... I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO MESS AROUND!!!

Will not use them ever again even if they make it easier to transfer names!!!

It is unfortunate that some people charge a high price and don't deliver. This is what Easyspace is all about.

In addition to the issues mentioned by the previous posts, their support team is absolutely crap to say the least. Not only they got someone who doesn't know what they are doing, they are also very slow at dealing with your case. You usually get a reply couple of days later. Of course during that time, the problem is on going, whether to do with emails, server downs etc.

Moreover, if you are an existing customer, they inflate the renewal price so you lose out. I will not waste time dealing with easyspace. They are bunch of cow boys out there to rip people off.

I run web sites for clients, I have moved all of them away. It saved them thousands and in return got a better service from other providers.

AVOID easyspace at all costs!! You have been warned!!

i am becoming more and more frustrated with easyspce we have a number of domains with them and their implementation of RDNS is costing us business as many customers are unable to send us emails.
The arrogance of easyspace is unbelievable they are blaming everyone else for not implimenting RDNS I have checked and no other ISPs are creating the same issues / problems as easyspace re RDNS
They are unable to give me confidence that they can resolve the situation therefore i am going to vote with my feet and walk away.
Easyspace were very very good but now they are the pits since iomart took over.
What a shame.

I have tried loads of different hosts over the years I've been a web designer and although people seem to have had some issues with Easyspace, they are by no means the worst host I have used. In actual fact I would say they are one of the better ones. I've written a review of 5 different hosts I have tried at http://siblify.com/blog/2009/my-search-for-the-best-uk-web-host/ and Easyspace came joint top with Virtual names as although I preferred the service at Virtual Names, Easyspace were better value.

Were OK initially, then hugely inflated their charges and made it hard & expensive to escape from them. They obviously lost a lot of customers (I cancelled several domains with them), so made their charges (a bit) more competetive again, but customer service has continued to get worse. The email hosting gradually got worse, started randomly bouncing email from time to time. Then they decided to "upgrade" their email - since they did that it doesn't work at all and is bouncing all my email. Would like to give them zero stars if I could.

They are really that bad!
Email to me kept getting bounced, but only from certain sources - I had no idea this was happening - you don't normally know that you are NOT receiving emails. Something about a DNS problem. They told me it was all everyone else's fault and that anyone who was getting the message should change their email settings. They were VERY insistent.
I as then copied in on an email by mistake from their managers to the techies asking if after all of this time they had not fixed their "reverse DNS problem" - ie saying it was their fault all along!
I changed hosts & the problem was solved instantly
